    City of Decatur - Human Resource Manager

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.

    Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM -CP / SHRM -SCP Certification preferred

    Five years comprehensive, responsible experience in coordinating and managing public human resources activities and operations.

    Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration, public personnel administration, government organizations, and public service positions.


    City of Champaign - Human Resource Director

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Organizational Development or a closely related field.

    Five years of progressively responsible experience in collective bargaining, disciplinary/regulatory investigations, employee compensation and benefits, or performance management in a comparably-sized municipality or organization, at least three of which must be in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

     A combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position will be considered.

    Residency within the City of Champaign’s corporate limits is required within six months of appointment.
